I like to use the term "Seussical*" as if it meant "pertaining to anything remotely Dr. Seuss-ish". Today's drawing might fall near that.
*I have never seen the musical. =\
I mean, if you kinda took Seuss stuff and dropped in the doldrums from the Phantom Tollbooth. You know surreal, ominous and eerie yet ,vivid and intriguing...
Actually, now that I think about it, a lot of my inspiration for things comes from Dr. Seuss' works like "There's a Wocket in my Pocket", "The Lorax", "I Had Trouble in Getting to Solla Sollew"*, "The Sneetches and Other Stories", "Did I Ever Tell You How Lucky You Are?", "The Butter Battle Book", "Oh, The Thinks You Can Think!", and "Oh, the Places You'll Go!".
*"I Had Trouble in Getting to Solla Sollew" was and still is my favorite.
While writing this I searched for the image that was nestled in my head and found it! It was part of "Oh, The Thinks You Can Think!" and it is indeed surreal, ominous and eerie yet, vivid and intriguing...
If I met a Jibboo* I would probably man up and... Wet myself... D;
*Kinda looks like a kid in an alley with a drug dealer... >_>;
